Where is my data stored?
All your financial data (wallets, transactions, loans) lives on your device, inside your browser's local storage. PFinTrack has no server and never sends your data anywhere. It's yours, on your device.
What happens if I switch phones or lose my device?
Since your data lives on your device, switching phones without a backup means losing it. Before you switch: open Settings, then Backup, then connect Google Drive. On your new device, open Settings, then Backup, connect the same Google Drive, then restore from Backup History.
Can PFinTrack see my financial data?
No. PFinTrack has no accounts, no login, and no server. Your data is 100% on your device. Nobody can access it, including the PFinTrack team. We don't even know you exist.
How do I back up and restore my data?
The safest way: open Settings, then Backup, then connect Google Drive and set your passphrase. After that, auto-backup runs on its own each time you open the app (at most once per 24 hours). Want to back up right now? Tap Backup Now.
To restore: open Settings, then Backup, pick a file from Backup History, enter the same passphrase, then confirm.
Backup and restore work only through Google Drive. Backup files can't be downloaded or opened outside the app, which keeps your data safe.
